Broken Social Scene as a hologram = rad. I really think this band could do no wrong.

The Limousines are a great new band from the Bay Area. They’re unsigned, but have a quite a draw and put on a great show. And they write good pop songs.

I really love The Hundred In The Hands. This video is kinda weird, but full of girls that Sean Hess would approve of.

I’ve been showing everyone these videos since the middle of last week, but I’ve just got around to blogging about them. Honda Jazz (an Australian car) came up with the most genius commercials. 3 of 4 of them are amazing (the rap one blows and I’m not linking it here). Obviously, the Hipster video has the most views, but the Massive and Ninja videos are great as well.

When in LA this past weekend, I took Kim to The Standard Downtown for a Dub Frequency party because she had never been to a pool party at The Standard before. The X Games were in town and we ended up sitting with the special host of the party, BMX pro Nigel Sylvester. I had never heard of him before, but he and all his friends were super awesome, super fun people. Lots of mojitos, lots of tequila, lot of champagne, lots of good times.

Daytrotter is one of the best music blogs out there right now. While most music blogs all cover the same material, Daytrotter is unique in that they only post original material. Everything they post is a unique session by bands recorded just for Daytrotter, and there are some really great sessions. I also really loved their barnburned concert series. Without a doubt, this movie will be a must see for me.

Mad Men is back. Weeds starts soon. But my favorite show, Dexter, just released their trailer for season 5. I can not wait. I think it’s going to be impossible trying to top season 4.

Weeds Season 6 is coming back next month. As a fan from the beginning, I thought the series jumped the shark a bit in Season 4 and then got a bit better with Season 5. But with the Botwins now headed back to a normal lifestyle, I think Season 6 might be headed back in the right direction.

I’ve never really found motorcycles appealing. Generally they bring up images of old, leather clad, toothless dudes or dumb ass kids on crotch rockets. For some reason, motorcycles have skipped an image of class. Wrenchmonkees has changed that notion for me. They make some pretty gorgeous bikes.
