Little Dragon – “My Step”

I had heard a lot about Little Dragon, but had never heard them until I saw them at Treasure Island Festival in October. I really loved their live show. They have a very unique presence. Here’s their new video for “My Step.”

Grouplove – “Colours”

Seriously, the song is great and the singer airdrums to his own song in his music video. What more could ask for?

Wolf Gang – “Lions In Cages”

Never heard of this band, but they’ve got a cool sound. And just when you thought there couldn’t be anymore bands with “wolf” in their name.

NewVillager – “RichDoors”

I fell in love with NewVillager at the Iamsound showcase at CMJ two years ago. They finally just released their video for “RichDoors. It’s all chopped and screwy and after it’s all over, you leave scratching your head, much like a NewVillager live show. But all in a good way.

Blueprint – “Radio-Inactive”

“Critically acclaimed mc/producer and Soul Position frontman Blueprint, returns with his highly anticipated sophomore solo release “Adventures in Counter-Culture”. Experimenting with synths, keyboards, and drum machines, “Adventures in Counter-Culture” touches on Blueprint’s cynicism with the world, his disdain for pop culture, the state of politics and an apathetic, uninspired society. The album encompasses every facet of music Blueprint knows. It blurs genre lines and connects his hip hop pedigree with his early days in the church choir, to the R&B bands he was a part of in high school, to his new found interest in rock and electronic music.

After a five year musical journey, Blueprint has emerged with his greatest effort to date. A culmination of self discovery and societal critique, “Adventures in Counter-Culture” is just that. The adventure begins March 1st, 2011.”

Breton – “December”

Here’s a video for “December” by Breton. They’ve just released their “Counter Balance EP” on Hemlock and are definitely an artist to keep an eye on.

Fenech-Soler – “Demons”

Another cool new band discovered while searching for content for the blog.

Blu And Exile – “Seasons”

I think the best part of actually having this blog is that it forces to me go search out stuff to post here, and it’s led me to discover quite a few great new artists I would have never heard about otherwise. Blu And Exile is one of those.

Broken Social Scene – “Texico Bitches”

Great new video from a great band. I really don’t think Broken Social Scene has ever put out anything that I don’t like.

Robyn – Nobel Peace Prize Concert 2010

Everyone’s favorite Swede performed at this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert. The above video is her performing “Jag vet en dejlig rosa,” “Dancing On My Own,” and “Indestructible.” She sounds absolutely fantastic.
